Massage therapy in Eugene

I offer trauma-informed, body neutral massage with the goal of relaxing your nervous system and providing a positive experience with safe non-sexual touch. Depending on your preferences and comfort zone, this might look like a full-body relaxation table-massage similar to what you might receive at a spa. However, it might also be a focused massage on your neck, shoulders, feet, or hands while you are fully clothed underneath a weighted blanket. Each massage therapy session is individualized and based on your present moment window of tolerance.

Human contact and attunement are the wellspring of physiological self-regulation.

Trauma-informed and neurodivergent affirming

Slowing down and grounding is essential for mental health. However, so many people (especially those who have experienced trauma or are neurodivergent) struggle with doing things like meditating, practicing self-care, or even just accepting care from others. For a lot of different reasons, many people also have difficulty knowing how they are feeling emotionally and physically. It can be hard to know where to start to heal this mind-body disconnect or even how to talk about it.

Receiving massage is an opportunity to slow down and tune into your present moment somatic experience. As a neurodivergent person and trauma survivor myself, I work to make the massage therapy experience as non-threatening as possible. I will talk with you about what accommodations can make the process feel safer and go at the speed that feels right for you. This can be profoundly helpful for:

  • reducing anxiety

  • becoming more embodied

  • increasing awareness of your physical body

  • learning to feel safe in your body

  • improving your relationship with yourself

  • experiencing a safe and boundaried relationship involving touch
